Francisco Gonzalez and Fernando G. Quality Solid Warrior commented on the tool we created called Change Data Capture. This tool allows you to take "snapshots" of the state of the database through an interval, taking counters meters yields and profiler traces, and finally, through the deltas, we can determine the server's performance.
One of the advantages of this technique is that it is much less invasive and more mild in terms of performance, you have to adapt the database with triggers to notify / measure performance. This technique was partly created / enhanced by Andrew Kelly and Eladio Rincon, both also of Solid Quality Mentors.
is part of the utilities and techniques that apply when you hire us to support detection of bottlenecks and improving system performance SQL Server database.
Best, Fernando Francisco and explain it directly: http://www.virtualteched.com/Videos/EU_1_fgonzalez_fguerroro_FB_100.asx

Performance Improvements in Visual Studio 2008
In a presentation I gave in December 2007 the Central Bank of Costa Rica, one attendee told me about the performance issues they have with Visual Studio 2005 and specifically whether there would be improvements in version 2008 that aimed at improving .
My friend Marino Posadas (better known as the Ave Fenix \u200b\u200b ) has recommended me a couple of readings specifically addressing this issue, which I recommend reading:
Soma Somasegar's blog: http://blogs.msdn .com/somasegar/archive/2007/09/27/vs-2008-performance-improvements.aspx
Gutrie Scott's blog: http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2007/11/ 01/tip-trick-hard-drive-speed-and-visual-studio-performance.aspx
